What is FIELD-CONNECT?
FieldConnect is an intelligent data management system that ensures agricultural traceability and responsible sourcing. It is a cloud-integrated web and mobile platform designed to manage the agricultural value chain, especially for cocoa, but also for other crops such as cashew, oil palm, rubber, cotton, mango, shea and banana.
It enables farmers, especially professional organizations, chocolate makers and exporters, to create a direct link with plantation operations and follow all program activities right through to the end customer, fostering a climate of trust that ensures long-term contracts. It enables the digital collection of data on growers, their families and households, farms, production, training of farmers, managers and cooperative staff, treatments, fertilization, member sales, flow monitoring and stock management, internal inspections, periodic evaluations, and allows them to better manage risks.
